A few weekends ago we decided we had to at least "try" to see Santa again this year. Elliote has never enjoyed trips to see Santa but this year has been talking and talking about when she could go and see Santa. So we decided to dip our toes in the water by going to the annual Akron "Welcome Santa" parade the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was sooooo very, VERY cold that only Elliote and I went. We were as bundled up and then some and with that and additional blankets to cover us we found a spot on Main Street and watched the parade. Elliote was such a trooper through all the cold and LOUD parade entries all because she knew she would see Santa at the end!
After the parade Elliote was very upset that she did not get to TALK to Santa so a few weeks later we took the girls to Graf Grower's to see Santa up close. Santa was wonderful and very laid back and understanding. He gave the girls time to take a look at him and size him up and even when sitting on his lap was a "no go" he was still creative enough to allow us to get some pictures with him without causing any meltdowns.
I love how Cammie is studying Santa here!
Such a sweet shot, don't you think??
Despite the picture Elliote did talk to Santa a little and then after we stuck around for some crafts and browsing their beautiful Christmas plants and decorations. Elliote told me later, "I being shy" when I asked her what she thought of Santa.
Here are the girls after seeing Santa in their beautiful dressed that Aunt Katie made for them!
