On Memorial Day Steve had to work, so Mary and Elliote went to the Cuyahoga Falls Memorial Day parade (Elliote's first parade). Here is one of the floats that we got to see....yes, those are real people, I have NO idea how they held that pose through the whole parade!
Here is a picture of Elliote watching the parade go by. I thought she would get really into it as clapping and waving are two of her favorite past times, but she was pretty relaxed through the whole thing and just watched...until the race cars came by...now THAT got her attention!
Elliote is getting more and more independent and loves to copy whatever you are doing. NOT that she sees mommy cleaning very often, but when she does she wants in on it. Here she is swiffering the kitchen floor for us:
Elliote likes to play with the plastic containers of spices in "her" cabinet (seen below). She tends to put whatever odds and ends she is carrying around the house in here too, so you never know what you may find in there. She does a lot of work in her cabinet when mommy is cooking.
