The Sandbox

During their visit when they helped out at our house after Mary's recent surgery, Oma and Opa Wengert saw to it that Elliote got the sandbox that the Easter Bunny left at their house in Luckey for her this year. Since we work such opposite schedules and the weather in Ohio in the spring is so...well, uncooperative at times, this evening was the first time that all the stars aligned and we all were home to see Elliote get in her sandbox for the first time.

As you can see, Elliote wasn't really sure what to make of the whole situation at first:


Then Steve gave her the toys that we bought and she was instantly more interested:


....after we showed her what to do with the toys she liked it even more and really started to have some fun!

Apparently she smelled differently while in the sandbox because Louis couldn't resist sniffing her over and over:

Mommy: "Well Elliote, what do you think?"
Elliote: "I LOVE it!"
